Verify your address
The Sheriff's Office serves unincorporated Jefferson County only. Cities like Arvada, Golden, Lakewood, and Wheat Ridge have their own police departments. Enter the address where it happened to start your online report.
What you can file online
These crimes can be reported online once your address is verified:
- Criminal mischief Someone damaged property that belongs to you.
- Theft Someone took property that belongs to you with no intent to return it. Not for vehicles, trailers, firearms, or license plates.
- Garage burglary Property was stolen from your garage. Not in progress.
- Vehicle trespass Someone entered your vehicle without permission or took items from inside it.
- Lost property Belongings that are missing or lost, but not stolen. No firearms.
What you cannot file online
Call non-emergency dispatch at (303) 276-8600 instead if any of these apply:
- Any type of assault
- A known suspect or any suspect information
- Domestic violence related incidents
- A crime in progress
- Lost or stolen firearms, vehicles, trailers, or license plates
- Parking issues or abandoned vehicles
- Anything not in the list above
